An intimate, no-frills weekend of music and camping, Black Rabbit Campout is a grassroots gathering hosted by Ottawa’s underground dance community, and open to all. Join us for 3 days and 2 nights of music, connection, and celebration in nature in Bryson QC (around 2 hours from Ottawa)

This years Black Rabbit will be back in Bryson, Quebec!

The site is a gorgeous piece of land that traditionally belonged to the Algonquin people.

It is approximately 1 hour from Ottawa, 3 hours from Montreal, and 6 hours from Toronto.

Gates open:
Friday at 11am - 11pm
Saturday 10am - 11pm

Our volunteer program offers a chance to be part of something extraordinary while immersing yourself in a vibrant music, dance, and community atmosphere.

It also provides a platform for personal growth and meaningful connections, connecting you with influential businesses and industry people!

Everything from tending our communal fire, keeping our site green and clean, helping park cars, setting up/tearing down, and being a vital member of our vibe patrol - our community needs you!

Our Community

Black Rabbit Campout is not a corporate money grab. Our organizers and volunteers are all long-time members of our grassroots community. We've shared many a dancefloor together, and we can't with to do it again with you in the great outdoors, among the trees, and under the stars!

Getting ready for the weekend

What to Wear

Come as you as but remember… it is August in Canada!!!  We are all hoping for sun, but think of clouds, rains, snow (?), wind, cold, flies, and ticks!

Dress comfortably and safely.

What to bring

Bring everything you need to be comfortable for three days camping in the woods.

That includes camping supplies, food, water, clothing. We will have cold non-alcoholic drinks for sale on site and vendors providing a selection of coffee/pastries, burgers, hotdogs, tacos, vegetarian food!

This is a leave no trace event – be prepared to pack out what you pack in

What not to bring

  • Sequins, feathers and other non-biodegradable items

  • Motorized vehicles (e.g. e-bikes)

  • Animals

  • Pyrotechnicals, explosives, firearms, fireworks - absolutely prohibitted

  • Personal Sound Systems

  • Gates will open at 11am on Friday and everyone needs to leave before sundown on Sunday. Music will be on at 1pm on Friday and stay on until Sunday at 5pm!

    Gate Entry Times:
    11am-11pm on Friday
    10am-11pm on Saturday

  • Gates will open at 11am on Friday. they will close overnight on Friday and Saturday.

    Re-entry is only allowed during the day during the festival. We encourage you to stay on site during the festival.

    Please do not try to arrive early unless you have an early entry pass.

  • Sundown on Sunday! The music will end around 5pm on Sunday and after that the crew need time and space to start tear down and clean up.

  • We will have vendors selling burgers, hot dogs, pastries at breakfast, and tacos. There will be vegetarian options available. Please bring cash for vendors!

  • Yes! While we do have food vendors on site, we recommending packing for 3 days camping in the woods, including all the food and snacks you want for yourself (and maybe to share!)

  • Yes! This is a BYOB event. We will be selling non-alcoholic cold drinks. You can drink anywhere on the site, including at the stages. Please NO GLASS, and use the recycling stations provided!

  • Yes. We will have places for you to fill up your water to stay hydrated!

  • We will have portapotties on site + 4 outdoor showers running on municipal water for all attendees to use.

  • Black Rabbit 2025 will have 3 STAGES

    The Hilltop (Mainstage)

    The Rabbit Hole (Bass Stage)

    The Pool stage (day time only, Friday & Saturday)

  • This is an outdoor festival in Canada so please come prepared for rain! However, we do have a number of covered areas, including at all stages, to keep the party going even if the heavens open!

  • We highly recommend buying your tickets in advance. Subject to availability, online sales will be live until gates close on Saturday night, however keep in mind that signal is limited at the site - if you decide last minute to come, buy your ticket online before you leave!

  • We will not be offering day passes this year. Instead, we are offering a Saturday entry pass for those who cannot make the entire weekend. This including Saturday and Sunday at the festival, including camping.

    The gate is open at 10am-11pm on Saturday for those arriving for one day.

  • No. This is an 18+ event. We love your little ones - but the campout is for responsible adults to party responsibly. Please leave the littles at home!

  • YES!

    There is a swimming pool onsite which will be open from sunrise to sunset, with a life guard between 10am-7pm. Swimming is at your own risk.

    You can also swim at the beach 15 minutes down the road!

  • Pack, get excited and download/print your QR Codes for tickets and add-ons (RV pass, Car Camping, Pre-purchased meals)

  • No! Service is spotty but there in places if you need it. Plan to be disconnected.

  • No. Please bring cash for all vendors.

  • Everything you need for a 3 days camping festival. We will be posting a packing guide closer to the event.

  • No. Bring battery packs if you need to charge your phone, or disconnect and enjoy the experience.

  • No. Bring a hand pump or a personal battery pack.

  • There will be a limited number of RV passes available. The rest of the festival is car camping/tent camping only.

  • All workshops are included with your ticket! No extra or hidden fees here!

  • There will be bugs. Bring spray.

  • This is a leave no trace event. We also take safety very serious.

    Please DO NOT BRING:
